Egyptian fans of BMW and golf have engaged in an interesting experience through participation in the Egyptian qualifying tournaments of the BMW Golf Cup International, marking the qualifying event’s 23rd year in Egypt.
The 2019 local BMW Golf Cup tournaments took place inside the New Giza Sports Club located in 6th of October City. The tournaments witnessed the participation of a number of local and international sponsors.
Winners Amr El-Khayat, Galal El-Hamamsy, and Dina El-Gazzar qualified to represent Egypt at the BMW World Cup Golf Championship in March 2020, which will be held in South Africa.

BMW Egypt celebrates the 23rd anniversary of BMW Golf Cup International
The Egyptian qualifying tournament of the BMW Golf Cup International is considered a special event for the German brand in Egypt, especially since Egypt was one of the first countries to participate in this championship after its establishment.
This year marks the 23rd anniversary of the Egyptian tournaments of BMW Golf Cup International, which is an important event for all Egyptian golfers and residents.
The New Giza Sports Club in 6th of October City hosted the finals of the Egyptian tour this year, with the participation of a number of local and international sponsors such as XeonMobiles, Nespresso, Bose, Omega, and Sofitel Cairo El Gezirah Hotel.
Arab Bank also co-sponsored this tournament as part of the bank's interest in supporting important sports activities and events that everyone works hard for.

Vivid day of activities
The event witnessed a remarkable attendance by the families and friends of the golfers, who were keen to participate in many of the activities conducted by the sponsors.
The guests of BMW were given the opportunity to taste the finest coffee from Nespresso, as well as to check out the latest watches made by renowned watch maker Omega, known for its rich history and heritage.
The winners will attend the International BMW Golf Cup tournaments that are scheduled to take place in March 2020.

Latest BMW models under golf tournament visitors’ test
During the Egyptian qualifying tournaments, BMW Egypt showed off its latest vehicles at the New Giza Sports Club where the all-new BMW 3 was shown to attendees, revealing dramatic changes to the exterior and interior, including changes from the unusual new headlamp and rear lights to the gearbox.
Furthermore, BMW showed off the BMW i brand, the future of eco-friendly electric vehicles launched recently by the Bavarian Automotive Group. This made Egypt one of the first markets in the Middle East and North Africa to receive an all-electric i3 alongside the world's most advanced sports car, the BMW i8.
During the event, BMW customers were also able to experience the Bavarian manufacturer's unique experience while playing their favorite game.

Over 100,000 golf players around the globe seek final tournaments
In Germany, the BMW World Golf Cup qualifying tournaments witness the participation of 10,000 golfers seeking to reach the final tournament. Moreover, the number of golfers who participate in the BMW World Golf Cup tournaments from 50 countries around the globe reaches 100,000, all of whom compete to reach the final tournaments that are held inside the most luxurious and important golf courses in different countries.
BMW World Golf Cup tournaments are held annually across the globe in such diverse locations as Portugal, Argentina, Australia, Thailand, Singapore, and South Africa.
Meanwhile the local qualifying tournaments that are held in each individual country are also enjoying the same amount of sophistication that is present at the international finals.
This great attention and care from BMW AG over the years to the sport of golf has made the German manufacturer one of the largest sponsors of golf over its long-term history.
