National Bank of Egypt: Sponsoring the African Handball Championship as part of NBE’s strategy to promote sports in Egypt

Dina Abou Taleb, Head of Marketing and External Communications at the National Bank of Egypt (NBE), expressed her pride in sponsoring the 2024 African Men’s Handball Championship hosted by Egypt. She stated that such sponsorship was in line with the Bank’s longstanding sponsorship of the Egyptian Handball Federation, during which time the Federation accomplished several achievements at the regional and international levels.

"NBE's strategy to support sports in Egypt is based on methodical research and a systematic study of the needs of promising athletes, including financial, medical, technical, and even moral support, which qualifies them to win medals and advanced rankings in Egypt's name," Abou Taleb added. She emphasized that the methodology of "creating a champion" adopted by the Bank is one of the internationally recognized methodologies for creating generations capable of pursuing the path of sports achievements, be it on the physical, mental, or emotional level. "NBE's role in promoting Egyptian sports contributed to qualifying 15 of NBE-sponsored players to Paris Olympics 2024; and the Bank will continue to assume such role until those players return with medals in Egypt's name," she noted.

The closing ceremony of the African Handball Championship, attended by Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly, Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, and NBE Deputy Chairman, Mr. Yehia Abou El-Fotouh, crowned Egypt’s National Men’s Handball team as the champions. This victory qualifies our winners to participate in the Paris Olympics 2024.
